![]() Or buy a Gotoh ge1996t Floyd type bridge which comes set up as a 16" radius. You can buy shim from to shim the saddles to the proper radius. I believe the original Floyd rose is a 10" radius. Each pair of saddles are slightly different in height to create a curvature of a particular radius. Keep in mind most Floyd rose brand bridges are also not a 16" radius either. This may vary because not every persons sweat is as corrosive as some. You'll have to clean it off after playing the guitar (if your hand gets a little sweaty). A lot of satin finishes are also not very corrsion resistant and will look ugly if not maintained. They require a lot more regular cleaning. For example chrome and black are typically very resistant to corrsion, where Cosmo or gold are not. Now they are top mounted with wood screws.Īs for the differences in finish, not every finish has the same level of corrosion resistance. Especially if they are a through bolt type since Ibanez stopped using that type. Since the Ibanez guitars have such a flat radius they are difficult to find a replacement nut. Unfortunately this limits your options when it comes to finish. Unless you have some serious wear on the nut I wouldn't replace it. Floyd rose nuts are normally a 10 inch radius. The issue with changing the nut is that the radius of a Floyd nut doesn't match the Ibanez neck.
